St Andrew's Church Bainton provides the perfect acoustic for a string ensemble! Come and explore some fabulous repertiore, meet like-minded souls and learn from some of the best in the business.
You will join a mixed-ability string ensemble to play and perform two contrasting pieces - the first movement of Grieg's Holberg Suite (a fabulously energetic, vibrant piece for string orchestra) and an arrangement of Piazolla's Libertango. There will be parts for beginners, intermediates and more advanced players - just let us know what level you're at and we'll make sure there's something for you to play!
There will be cake, tea/coffee and juice on sale, so bring some money with you. Although this is a free workshop, the Yorkshire Wolds Music Foundation would be very grateful for any donations you should wish to make - either on the day or via our sponsorship page
Venue: St Andrew's Church, Church Street, Bainton
Date: Saturday 25th May
Time: 9.00-12.00
